Hello Fellow Marketer,
When taking direction from a client, I jot down tasks using a green pen. In my mind green stands for “go”– and when I review the project input, I know these are things mandated by the boss. As things progress, I completely encircle finished items in red.
Sometimes I wonder if my methods are a little extreme.
But I can’t think of even one of my own vendors whom I can totally trust (except employee partners I’ve personally trained) to always handle every last detail. So when I delegate something important, I also need to track it in my own system since I’m ultimately responsible, right?
What good is it if someone has a great memory and can recall most details; the one missed thing can amount to a costly mistake.
Best, -Todd
